Middle East on a Mission to Strengthen Cybersecurity Framework

Middle East on a Mission to Strengthen Cybersecurity Framework

As cyberattacks become a significant issue, many nations in the Middle East are now working together and creating plans to fight these threats.

From joining global security alliances to arranging cybersecurity events across the nation and bringing together business councils across the continents, the Middle East is striving to secure its internet safety.

These collaborations and conferences work to help protect important systems from new types of cyber threats. We’ll look at some of the latest changes happening in cybersecurity across the Middle East.

PwC and Cynalytica Join Forces to Shield Industrial Systems

Many have been talking about the collaboration between PwC and Cynalytica. PwC is based in the United Kingdom but has important connections in the Middle East and is a leading firm in the region.

The purpose of the partnership is to boost the safety of industrial control systems and operational technology from threats such as malware.

Cyber threats always place the industrial sector at risk, but this is what PwC and Cynalytica’s expertise is here for. Being in a partnership offers added security.

Cynalytica focuses on safeguarding industrial control systems. One of its superpowers is being able to find possible problems and stop them without messing up the main tasks.

Thanks to their technology, organisations can watch over both old and modern ICS networks, since these types of networks are often hard to secure.

Threats in the world of OT change all the time. Tracking down weak points in older systems is usually what threatens companies, which is why organisations should be proactive in resisting further issues.

PwC and Cynalytica headlined their partnership announcement during GISEC Global in Dubai.

They feel the cooperation in the Middle East is the beginning of something new for cybersecurity, so they are not about to slow down, and they hope to go after the North American and European markets.

Cyber First Kuwait Returns to Boost Nation’s Digital Defence

Middle East on a Mission to Strengthen Cybersecurity Framework

The 2025 event clearly showed that the region is increasing efforts to fortify cybersecurity in the region.

Held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Kuwait, the event brought in over 300 people, including government leaders, experts in cybersecurity, business managers, and people from tech companies.

The summit, scheduled by Events First Group, relies on Kuwait Vision 2035 and the country’s National Cybersecurity Strategy, which plans the future digital path for Kuwait.

Subjects covered during the event were threat detection using AI, graphs, trustless structures, cloud security, and ICS/OT infrastructure measures.

The National Cybersecurity Centre plans to make Kuwait’s digital environment secure by collaborating with both local and foreign organisations to follow the latest world trends.

Reviewing and increasing cybersecurity is particularly important for Cyber First Kuwait on sites where people make purchases and handle their funds digitally.

This occurs mainly in the online gaming field. Even though the government discourages it, many online casinos in Kuwait still offer their services to Arab gamers.

But because Kuwait is working on stronger cybersecurity measures, these online services may attract more attention.

Should a gambling platform use anonymity and ignore international rules, it might not be able to serve Kuwaiti players without being noticed.

Resecurity Joins US-UAE Business Council

Another important step in boosting cybersecurity in the Middle East is the UAE’s United States-based Resecurity being accepted as a member of the US-UAE Business Council.

As an industry leader in digital advancement, the UAE partnering with Resecurity shows how seriously it takes cybersecurity in the Middle East.

Through the US-UAE Business Council, American and Emirati companies have better connections, mainly in the areas of defence, energy and technology.

Obtaining Resecurity is a huge gain for the UAE and for the whole Middle East region. As a result of collaboration, more attention is being given to strong cybersecurity practices.

The company has set its sights on growing its presence and entering new markets in the Middle East and GCC nations.

Cyber Command has brought together public and private organisations to spot weak points in their systems and provide long-term answers to cyber threats.

Being a member of the Business Council, Resecurity can now share ideas with the UAE, cooperate on innovation, and work to reduce cross-border threats.
