Every D2-Wi-FiRE-enabled grill has a Wi-Fi reset option however, every Traeger requires specific steps to reset the Wi-Fi connection or connect it to new Wi-Fi. Take a look at the following categories to look for the correct guide for your Traeger:
Category 1
Old models of Timberline and Ironwoods without touchscreen controllers.
Category 2
New Timberlines and Ironwoods with touchscreen controllers.
If your Traeger falls in Category 1, then follow these steps to connect it to new Wi-Fi:

- For the first time, turn off the grill from the ON/OFF switch and unplug it.
- For the second time, use the ON/OFF switch to turn on the Traeger and wait for 10 seconds.
- For the third time, turn off your Traeger.
- Then plug in the power cord and turn ON the Traeger.
- Repeat Step 2 to reach the Wi-Fi INFORMATION option. The old Wi-Fi network should disappear this time.
Network Still Appears on Grill after a Wi-Fi Reset

Step 1: Turn off your home network router to ensure that the main Wi-Fi signal is off.
Step 2: Perform a Wi-Fi Reset option on the grill again.
Step 3: Your old Wi-Fi network will not appear anymore.

After successfully performing the reset/forget Wi-Fi option, follow these steps to Connect Traeger to New Wi-Fi:

2. Ensure that the Home Wi-Fi is turned on.

How to Connect Traeger to New Wi-Fi Without QR Code?
In case you have replaced the controller of your Traeger, you might not receive a QR code with it. But for some reason, if you have to reset your Wi-Fi connection and want to connect to a new one, then follow these steps on your Android or iPhone:
Step 1: Ensure that the Traeger grill is plugged in and turned ON.
Step 2: Launch the Traeger app and sign in.
Step 3: When you see a QR code prompt on the screen, then choose “I Don’t Have A QR Code” option.
Step 4: Then enter your grill’s (old) nickname.
Step 5: Then head on to the grill’s controller and navigate to MENU > Wi-Fi Information > GRILL NAME.
Step 6: Then use the password mentioned after “Name: Traeger-” and continue.
Step 7: Enter your grill’s password (4 digits after “Password: Wi-FiRE-“) and continue.
Step 8: You will require a UUID which can be found on the controller, (MENU > SETTINGS > ABOUT GRILL) the continue.
Step 9: You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi password. Enter the password and tap Join.
